Fact 11:The president had been in office for about 8 months when the nation was devastated by the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks. On September 11, 2001 Al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked a number of commercial airplanes to perpetrate the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Two airplanes were flown into the Twin Towers in New York City a third plane was flown into the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and a fourth plane crashed in Pennsylvania
 
Fact 12:The president named Osama bin Laden as the mastermind of the enemy attacks and the Afghanistan War begins when Al-Qaeda and the Taliban fail to give up Osama bin Laden.
 
Fact 13:Shortly after the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks the nation is faced with the horror of the Anthrax scare during which time Washington DC shuts down. The president called for $1.5 billion to fight chemical attacks.
 
Fact 14:The president supports the Second Gulf War and the invasion of Iraq in order to to topple the regime of Saddam Hussein. The war ends on 1 May 2003 and Saddam Hussein was captured on 14 December 2003 and later tried and executed
